Pinocchio story
As a child, Ha- Myeong( Lee Jong- Suk) grew up in a family with his firefighter father, mama and aged family. Ha- Myeong and his aged family( Yun Kyun- Sang) both retain advanced than normal intellect and are proud of their father. A fire at a waste installation though destroys his family. His mama dies a short time latterly and Ha- Myeong ends up being dipped out of the ocean by an unknown man( Byun Hee- Bong).
The man that pulls Ha- Myeong out of the ocean is the forefather of In Ha( Park Shin- Hye). In Ha's forefather believes Ha- Myeong is his eldest son Dal- Po, who failed 30 times agone . Ha- Myeong is also espoused by In Ha's forefather and his name is changed to Dal- Po. In Ha and Dal- Po now live together as uncle and bastard, although they're in the same age range. In Ha has a Pinocchio Syndrome. Whenever she lies she gets the interruptions. In Ha and Dal- Po get on well until Dal- Po learns that In Ha's mama ( Jin Kyung) is the journalist that covered the waste installation fire that destroyed his family. Dal- Po tries to part himself from In Ha, but he also develops passions for her.

Synopsis
In the time 2000, Ki Ha- myung is leading a happy life with his parents and elder family, Jae- myung, until his father, Ki Ho sang, the captain of a firefighting team, dies in a plant explosion during a deliverance attempt, along with several of his men. Ho sang's body originally goes missing, and the media sensationalizes the case by scapegoating him. In a battle for conditions, cold and calculating MSC journalist Song Cha- Ok alleges that Ho sang survived the blast and is presently in caching because he was responsible for the deaths of his men. This causes the Ki family to come rejects in their neighborhood and objects of public despisement. Ki Ho sang's woman
kills herself and Ha- myung by jumping off a precipice, and the elder son, Jae- myung, blames their deaths on the media, particularly Cha-ok.
But Ha- myung is alive, having been saved from the water by Choi Gong- pil, a kind senior man who lives on Hyangri Island. Gong- pil, who may either have Alzheimer's complaint or trauma- convinced memory loss, believes that Ha- myung is his aged son Choi Dal- po, a simpleton who failed thirty times before. Ha- myung embraces the deception and treats Gong- pil as his father. Gong- pil officially adopts Ha- myung, now named Dal- po, and places him in the family register as his eldest son. Five months latterly, when Gong- pil's youngish son, Choi Dal- pyung, moves to the islet with his son, Choi In- ha, they're astounded to be told by Gong- pil to address a bare boy as their" aged family" and" uncle", independently. Cha-ok, who hasn't seen her son in a decade and is now MSC's nocturnal news anchor and section chief, fails In- ha at her final interview, saying a journalist with Pinocchio pattern would be useless. Seeing how hurt In ha is at her mama 's rejection, Dal- po becomes determined to help her achieve her dream and announces that he wants to come a journalist as well. A month latterly, In ha and Dal- po apply at YGN's" eyeless" investigation for broadcast news journalists, but only Dal- po gets hired. When brazened by Gyo- dong, now principal of YGN's news office, Dal- po confesses his real identity as well as his real motive for taking the job he wants to find his aged family, Jae- myung, and clear their father's name. But what he does not know is that Jae- myung has taken vengeance on the plant workers who prevaricated about their father by killing all of them and framing his last victim for the murders by hiding his body and making it feel like he's on the run. Meanwhile, with MSC's credibility standing at an each- time low, Cha-ok hires In- ha, using her Pinocchio pattern in a hype trick. therefore, Dal- po and In- ha come apprentices at rival networks, and among their associates are Seo Beom- jo, who comes from a rich, retired chaebol background and has a connection to In- ha via a wrong cellphone number, and Yoon Yoo- rae, formerly a sasaeng addict who now uses those compulsive and determined traits in her new job.
Latterly in her line of work, In- ha discovers Choi Dal- po's real identity and is repulsed by what her mama Cha-ok did to his family during the fire accident. In a lecture held by Cha-ok, In- ha stands against her and in the process, reveals to Jae- myung that his family is alive. Together, they try to bring Cha-ok down through their honest news reporting, all the while uncovering a bigger conspiracy in the news assiduity.
